Delta Heat provides a talented team of creative musicians who have been performing together for years in Northern California. From technical abilities to musical versatility, Delta Heat delivers some of the most popular rock songs in history and makes a super FUN dance environment.
David started playing guitar with his Dad playing Jimmy Buffet tunes. 50 years later and he’s still playing guitar. David traveled worldwide as a member of the 12 piece band "Up With People". For the last 10 years David has been the music director at a local church in Discovery Bay. In 2020 he formed the band "Delta Heat" and they’ve been playing regularly ever since. In 2024 David formed "Dave and Dan’s Delta Jams", a duo group with guitar, vocals and percussion.
Shannon Davenport the new powerhouse lead vocalist for Delta Heat! A lifelong performer, Shannon has been lighting up stages since childhood winning local honors, studying music at UC Berkeley and Point Loma Nazarene University, and even teaching music in the San Diego public school system. The thrill of being on stage never faded. Shannon brings a bold new energy to Delta Heat with soulful vocals, dynamic range, and classic rock stage presence.
Mike Macfarlane picked up the guitar at age 12 and was already tearing it up on stage at school assemblies by the fifth grade. A veteran of multiple local bands, Mike joined Delta Heat to work with other local top musicians playing two-guitar rock and the freedom to unleash ripping lead solos. Now retired, he’s all-in on music — learning new songs, playing more shows, and constantly leveling up his sound. Catch Mike live and hear why Delta Heat’s guitar solos are hitting a little harder.
Kirt has been playing the bass since he was 19. At that time, he formed a band with some of his high school buddies playing tunes by CCR, Beatles, and Steve Miller. As day jobs and other responsibilities took over that band discontinued, however, Kirt continued to jam with friends and gig in bands. His loves R&B from the mid 60's & 70's, but he finds his groove playing rock and dance covers with Delta Heat.
Originally from Newport, RI, Charlie now lives in Brentwood. Charlie is a Drummer/Vocalist that has been playing drums and singing for decades on both the East and West Coasts. Charlie plays and sings many styles including Rock, Funk, Jazz and Blues. Fun facts about Charlie - He can also play the trumpet, and he sang back-up vocals on famed saxophonist Clarence Clemons' debut solo album!
As the Sound Engineer for the Delta Heat Band, Peter brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise. With a background in technology, public speaking, and experience in set building for over 20 theater performances, Peter combines artistic vision with an attention to detail during live performances. After a 30+ year career in technology consulting, Peter channels a passion for hosting events and ensuring every performance is memorable for the audience and band alike.
